Kayla Stachniak Kaplan represents clients across all industries in complex commercial litigation and internal and government investigations, with a focus on civil False Claims Act (FCA) cases. Kayla’s clients have included both corporations and individuals in the aerospace and defense, financial services, insurance, healthcare, energy, and manufacturing industries at all stages of civil fraud enforcement cases from civil investigative demands, inspector general subpoenas, and internal reports in need of investigation through to appeals.
Kayla practices across the United States in both federal and state courts, representing clients in matters arising under both the federal FCA and state false claims statutes. In addition to her FCA practice in state and federal courts, including at the appellate level, Kayla also represents clients in commercial litigation and has practiced before international arbitral tribunals.
Kayla regularly writes and speaks on civil FCA and qui tam litigation developments.
