Emma M. Coffey advises clients on litigation matters such as class actions, complex commercial litigation, and securities litigation. She represents a wide range of clients, including financial institutions, broker-dealers, individuals, and businesses in an array of civil litigation issues. Emma focuses on counseling clients in securities-related matters. She represents clients in litigations and investigations involving the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and state securities regulators, as well as arbitrations. Emma is committed to working on pro bono matters through assisting veterans and the Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Project.
At Boston College, Emma was part of BC’s novel 3+3 program where she combined her first year of law school with her last year of undergraduate. During her third year of law school, Emma was the electronic supplement editor of Boston College’s Law Review which focused on publishing shorter and timely journal articles. In her second year, she participated in BC’s Civil Litigation Clinic which allowed her the opportunity to argue in court on behalf of clients in child support and child custody cases.
