Christopher M. Wasil represents national and international clients in complex commercial litigation across the country. With a diverse client base spanning the pharmaceutical, investment banking, media, retail, and food and beverage industries, Chris has experience litigating in federal and state courts—both at the trial and appellate levels—as well as arbitrations and mediations. Chris’s practice includes shareholder derivative actions, securities fraud claims, stockholder books and records demands, mass torts, breach of contract, and defamation claims. Chris also has experience defending employers against discrimination claims brought under both federal and state law.
Chris takes active roles in all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation consulting, document and electronic discovery, fact and expert witness depositions, dispositive motions, and trial. He also frequently advises clients and case teams on litigation strategy. Chris excels in developing and maintaining strong client relationships and has an active pro bono practice.
Chris’s legal practice is informed by his prior experience as a senior editor at a major international marketing firm, where his role encompassed both legal and creative responsibilities. In law school, Chris represented a political refugee from the Democratic Republic of the Congo for whom he obtained asylum with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, and was awarded a Certificate of Recognition.
