Case H. Smith advises clients in the telecommunications and technology industries. He represents clients before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), state public utilities commissions, and other federal and state agencies on domestic and international licensing, rulemakings, regulatory compliance, and transactional matters. Case maintains an active pro bono practice dedicated to disability and voting rights.
Case received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he combined his background in media and communications with his interest in administrative and regulatory law. While in law school, he interned in the office of FCC Commissioner Geoffrey Starks and externed with National Public Radio’s Office of General Counsel. Case was also a clinical student at the Berkman Klein Center Cyberlaw Clinic, a teaching fellow for HLS’s Mass Media Law course, and a research assistant focused on first amendment and intellectual property law.
