Leveraging her background in journalism, April Knight focuses her practice on environmental litigation and regulation, investigations, and climate policy. April represents clients in a range of matters involving Superfund law, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, and Environmental Protection Agency rulemakings.
During law school, April served as law clerk for Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), supporting the senator’s Judiciary Committee attorneys in reviewing legislation, drafting vote recommendations, and preparing documents for Judiciary Committee hearings. At the US District Court for the District of Columbia, she served as a judicial intern for Judge Rudolph Contreras, drafting judicial opinions, minute orders, and memoranda on various civil cases.
April is committed to promoting diversity in the legal profession. She served as private sector chair for the Georgetown Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. April also was an editor for the American Criminal Law Review, the nation’s premier criminal law journal, publishing and editing for the law journal’s online platform.
