Amar S. Naik helps clients navigate antitrust, consumer protection, and other complex litigation matters. His work focuses on multidistrict litigation and government investigations involving cartel, tying, exclusive dealing, and monopolization claims brought under the Sherman Act. He also has experience in cases involving California’s Unfair Competition Law and Unfair Practices Act. Amar has worked with clients in a variety of industries, including consumer goods, healthcare, and technology industries.
Amar supports clients with both civil and criminal investigations led by the US Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, and state attorneys general. He also counsels clients on litigation risks and antitrust compliance issues.
During law school, Amar was the editor-in-chief of the UC Davis Law Review and served on the Moot Court Honors Board. Upon graduation, he received the Order of the Barristers, Pro Bono Certificate, and Public Service Certificate.
Prior to law school, Amar worked as a consultant supporting economic experts in the preparation of damages reports and testimony submitted in complex litigation and international arbitrations. He leverages this background in his current work, particularly in matters involving the intersection of antitrust, cybersecurity, data privacy, and intellectual property issues.
