Allison Heil represents clients through all stages of complex civil and criminal litigation across various industries. Allison also maintains an active pro bono practice, representing prisoners in civil rights cases and working alongside non-profit legal organizations.
Allison graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law as a member of the Order of the Coif (top 10% of the class). While in law school, Allison was a member of the Anderson Center for Advocacy and Professionalism, utilized her Illinois Rule 7/11 Student Attorney’s license in Child Abuse and Neglect cases, and aided first-year law students as a teaching assistant for Legal Writing & Analysis and Introduction to Advocacy.
During her trial team involvement, Allison placed in three consecutive trial advocacy competitions and received the honor of Champion and Top Advocate in the National Ethics Trial Competition. Outside of trial advocacy, Allison was a teaching assistant to Professor Janice Pea, where she taught first-year law students the structure of legal writing and appellate advocacy. Allison also externed at the Champaign State’s Attorney’s office, representing the state in child abuse and neglect cases under an Illinois Rule 7/11 Student Attorney’s license. In this role, she was responsible for case management, on-the-record advocacy, and fostering relationships with children’s guardian ad litems to ensure child safety in Champaign County.
