Anne E. Martinez has litigated more than 200 single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases in various forums throughout the United States, including federal and state trial courts and administrative agencies. She oversees the management of a large portfolio of single-plaintiff employment litigation extending across the country. Anne is the leader of Workplace Training, a component of the firm’s workplace culture consulting and training practice. In this role, she leads the development and delivery of interactive training programs on such issues as discrimination, harassment, equal opportunity, ethics, legal compliance, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
In her litigation practice, Anne defends employers in wage and hour class and collective actions, as well as complex discrimination and harassment cases.
Anne also regularly counsels employers on labor and employment law issues. She advises clients on reductions in force, decisions regarding adverse employment actions, severance and settlement agreements, litigation avoidance, compliance with Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requirements, and compliance with state wage and hour requirements. Additionally, she conducts internal wage and hour audits to help employers properly classify employees as exempt or nonexempt.
