Karen Y. Cho represents management in employment disputes ranging from single-plaintiff litigation to class and collective action matters. Karen has experience litigating and trying cases in both state and federal courts, and in arbitration settings. In addition to her trial work, Karen advises employers on a broad range of employment law matters, including those involving systemic and individual discrimination, harassment, retaliation, disability accommodation, wrongful termination, breach of contract, pay equity and wage and hour compliance. Karen also regularly provides workplace training and conducts internal investigations for companies from startups to the Fortune 500.
During law school, Karen was on the Pepperdine Law Review and was in the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society. She earned first place at the ABA Regional Negotiation Competition and was a semi-finalist at the ABA National Negotiation Competition. Karen was also a judicial extern for Judge Valerie Baker Fairbank of the US District Court for the Central District of California for two semesters. After law school, Karen served as a guest lecturer at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.
