Eric Makinen represents and counsels employers in a broad array of individual and complex actions involving United States federal, state, and local labor and employment laws. His work includes claims arising under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Defend Trade Secrets Act (DTSA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other state and common law theories.
In addition to his labor and employment litigation work, Eric maintains an active pro bono practice.
During law school, Eric externed for Judge Joan H. Lefkow of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and served as a student articles editor on the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal.
