Ali M. Kliment defends employers in complex employment disputes, from single-plaintiff to class and collective actions, primarily involving allegations of discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. Ali has experience litigating and trying cases in both state and federal court. Ali also handles sensitive internal investigations involving alleged harassment, workplace misconduct, and/or whistleblower retaliation claims. Through these investigations, she advises employers on appropriate responses and remediation measures. Additionally, Ali is a member of the firm’s Title IX task force, focusing on issues of discrimination and sexual harassment in education. As part of this, Ali advises clients on Title IX compliance and best practices, while also helping them navigate Title IX investigations.
In addition to her litigation and investigation practice, Ali has experience drafting and negotiating separation and settlement agreements, particularly those involving high-level employees and executives. She also counsels clients in addressing various employment-related issues, including performance management, adverse employment actions, and compliance with state and federal employment laws. Ali assists clients that span a wide group of industry sectors, encompassing retail, education, healthcare, pharmaceutical, sports, financial services, and technology.
Ali is actively engaged in several pro bono projects at the firm, including assisting individuals in applying for asylum and/or for US citizenship, developing policies and procedures for nonprofit organizations, and counseling nonprofit organizations on compliance with state and federal employment law.
Ali received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Villanova School of Law, where she was named to Order of the Coif, served as an articles editor for the Villanova Law Review, and served as a certified legal intern in the Villanova Health Law Clinic. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, in political science from Monmouth University, where she was a member of the university's women's soccer team.
