Nina Jayne Carroll focuses her practice on UK and EU competition law, advising clients on UK, EU, and international merger control, high-value complex competition litigation, and regulatory matters. In particular, she represents clients in competition disputes at the Competition Appeal Tribunal. Nina also advises clients regarding current and proposed developments at the intersection of technology and competition law. She counsels numerous multinational clients across various industries including technology, pharmaceuticals, financial services, and telecommunications. Nina is a member of Morgan Lewis’s automotive and mobility industry team, which advises automotive and mobility stakeholders on consumer protection and complex regulatory compliance matters.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Nina trained at a leading Irish law firm in Dublin, gaining experience in competition, privacy and technology, public and private mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and commercial contracts. She is dual qualified in the European Union (Ireland) and England and Wales.
Nina holds a first-class honors M.C.L. degree from the University of Cambridge in which she undertook competition law as her year-long paper. She also holds a first-class honors LL.M. in Advanced Legal Practice from Northumbria University, where she specialised in competition law with reference to the digital economy and privacy considerations in antitrust law.
Nina is IAPP certified, specialising in EU data protection matters. She is also a Young Lawyer Representative on the American Bar Association’s Privacy and Information Security (PRIS) Committee, regularly providing updates through the PRIS Committee regarding EU and UK privacy matters and regulatory developments.
Nina maintains an active pro bono practice and is also a member of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
