Mark Riccardi serves as the global leader of the firm’s structured transactions practice and advises financial institutions and financial services companies, investors, and other market participants in securitizations and secured credit transactions. Mark also helps clients navigate and comply with regulatory requirements affecting public offerings and private placements of asset-backed securities.
Mark negotiates financing transactions for issuer clients at various stages in their corporate evolution, from start-up online lending platforms, to diversified consumer credit companies, to established commercial banks. His asset finance experience includes representing lenders and borrowers in secured credit facilities, warehouse lending transactions, including structuring special purpose investment vehicles, asset-backed commercial paper conduit finance facilities and complex joint venture arrangements. His experience with trade receivables finance involves companies in the energy, healthcare, life sciences, media and manufacturing industries, and includes multi-jurisdictional and cross-border facilities and on- and off-balance sheet structures. Mark also advises purchasers, servicers and lenders in connection with the acquisition, sale and financing of portfolios of financial assets.
Mark is experienced in financing many types of financial assets and other collateral, including FFELP and private student loans, business loans, trade receivables, solar panel loans, prime and subprime automobile loans and leases, credit card receivables, marketplace loans and other unsecured consumer loans, dealer floorplan loans, and various types of esoteric assets.
