John J. “Jack” Sheehan represents private equity firms and public and private companies across many industries, including facility and residential services, aerospace and defense, technology, manufacturing, and retail. He has experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), leveraged buyouts, strategic investments, divestitures, recapitalizations, and governance matters. Jack also advises clients on general corporate and commercial matters and securities law matters. His experience includes transactions ranging from several million dollars to more than $1 billion on behalf of both buy-side and sell-side clients.
Jack represents many of his clients, including portfolio companies of his private equity clients, in an outside general counsel relationship, developing familiarity with their industries and issues of concern while growing strategic relationships with management teams to guide these clients through the negotiation and implementation of employment arrangements, incentive equity plans, equity and debt financings, corporate restructurings, commercial transactions, and sale transactions.
Before he entered law school, Jack worked as a tenure-track faculty member in the English department of a community college and served as an associate editor at an internationally circulated literary magazine.
While in law school, Jack interned for Chief Judge Jerome B. Simandle of the District of New Jersey.
