John Ceccio focuses his practice on antitrust and competition, representing companies before competition authorities in transactions and conduct investigations and litigation. John also has experience in product counseling on competition and consumer protection issues. He works with clients in the technology, life sciences, and financial services industries, using his experience and understanding of the business dynamics in these spaces to achieve favorable results.
In merger counseling, John first focuses on helping clients assess potential antitrust risk early in the deal process to obtain deal protection terms needed to meet their business objectives. He then constructs merger clearance arguments by evaluating the business realities specific to the transaction. With respect to conduct investigations and litigation, John counsels clients on strategy from discovery through trial, including discovery negotiations, interrogatory responses, and deposition preparation. In the past, John has focused on managing and supporting technical experts, such as economists and computer scientists.
