Andrea Fitanides is pro bono counsel for the firm’s California, European, and Texas offices. In that role, she assists in firmwide pro bono administration and works with the Pro Bono Committees in each of her designated offices to promote pro bono. Andrea also works with legal services organizations and firm clients to develop quality pro bono opportunities and partnerships for the firm’s attorneys while serving the needs of the local communities. Andrea brings to this role her experience and relationships from managing pro bono programs at both a legal services nonprofit and a law firm, and from access to justice work at the California State Bar.
Prior to assuming her role as pro bono counsel, Andrea managed the pro bono program at another top tier law firm. And, prior to that, Andrea served as an attorney at a leading legal services organization for nearly five years. In that role, she supervised a program providing transactional legal services to nonprofits and she worked to expand the delivery of legal services to low-income clients through developing a range of pro bono opportunities for volunteer attorneys. Andrea also served as the Director for the Office of Access & Inclusion at the California State Bar for several months, in between her present and former time as pro bono counsel at Morgan Lewis, and currently volunteers to consult with the State Bar on justice gap issues.
Andrea began her legal career as an associate in the litigation practice at Morgan Lewis, focusing on counseling and defending companies and individuals on complex civil and white collar matters.
