WASHINGTON, DC, July 1, 2024: The Morgan Lewis Foundation has awarded its 2024 scholarships to 15 students from nine law schools across the United States. The ML Foundation Scholarship Program is intended to promote diversity in the legal profession, thereby strengthening the profession and enhancing its contributions to our communities. Criteria considered in selecting the recipients of the scholarship are academic achievement, financial need, work and life experiences, leadership, and nonacademic contributions. With this recent class of scholars, the Morgan Lewis Foundation, an independent 501(c)(3) organization, has given more than $3.3 million through 97 scholarships to promising law students since its founding in 2014.
“Morgan Lewis has a long-standing commitment to the pursuit of all types of diversity in the profession,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “The Morgan Lewis Foundation benefits our profession by affording gifted students the opportunity to complete their legal education."

The Morgan Lewis Foundation was established using a fee award granted to the firm in a historic settlement of a pro bono matter on behalf of Black families working to combat decades of racial segregation in public housing in Baltimore. The Morgan Lewis Foundation board includes Chief Engagement Officer Amanda Smith and partners Michelle Park Chiu, Nagwa Hultquist, Rahul Kapoor, Tim Levin, Grace Speights, Chuck Shimada, and Sara Wells.
