MIAMI, April 5, 2024: The Daily Business Review honored Morgan Lewis partner Robert Brochin with a Lifetime Achievement Award at its 2024 Florida Legal Awards. Bobby was selected as a recipient of the award in recognition of his positive impact on Florida across multiple areas—including public education, civil rights, and well-being of the elderly—over the course of his 43-year career.
Bobby represents corporate clients facing complex commercial litigation and regulatory matters in a wide range of areas, from real estate to financial services. He also spent a decade in high-level public service in state government, serving as deputy general counsel to the Florida governor and then as inspector general. His public service highlights include serving on the 1998 Florida Constitution Revision Commission where he co-authored the amendment providing all Florida children with the constitutional right to high-quality education as a fundamental value; authoring the Florida Civil Rights Act of 1992 and co-authoring the Florida False Claims Act; and framing proposals to reform Florida’s capital punishment procedures.
Bobby is also a founding and longstanding board member for Aging with Dignity, a national nonprofit that safeguards the human dignity of the elderly, disabled, and mentally ill during times of serious illness.
Bobby was recognized at an April 4 awards ceremony in Miami.
