Karon N. Fowler

Karon advises and represents clients in matters involving various technologies, including computer networking, semiconductor manufacturing, access control systems, wireless local area networks, computer hardware and software, virtual reality equipment and applications, lighting systems, orthopedic implants, wearables, and biotechnology.

Before joining Morgan Lewis, Karon served as a law clerk for Judge Eduardo C. Robreno of the US District Court of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. In law school, Karon was a judicial intern for Judge Patricia Campbell-Smith of the US Court of Federal Claims, board member of the Wake Forest Law Review, and member of the Appellate Advocacy Clinic where she argued before the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Karon graduated with honors as a member of the Order of Barristers and Order of the Coif.

• Represented a cellular “hot spot” manufacturer in a patent infringement jury trial in the Southern District of New York; the jury’s finding of infringement was reversed by the Federal Circuit, resulting in a complete victory for our client
• Represented a multinational science and technology company in an arbitration involving natural killer cell lines; successfully moved to dismiss a related district court action seeking to enjoin the arbitration
• Represented a global biopharmaceutical company in a patent infringement case involving a bispecific antibody for treatment of hemophilia A
• Represented a global power tool and outdoor product manufacturer in a multijurisdictional dispute spanning the US district court, ITC, USPTO, and Court of International Trade
• Defended a major commercial and consumer lighting developer and manufacturer against allegations of patent infringement and false advertising in Section 337 investigations in the ITC; obtained a complete walk-away victory in two separate investigations
• Represented a provider of application and network performance and management products in a patent infringement jury trial in the Eastern District of Texas
• Represented a global semiconductor manufacturing corporation in a multijurisdictional commercial contract dispute involving semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment
• Represented an international orthopedics company in a patent infringement case involving orthopedic implants and surgical techniques
• Represented a Fortune 500 technology company in a patent infringement case involving augmented reality hardware in the District of Delaware
• Represented a leading supplier of high-performance defense and emergency response products in a patent infringement case in the District of Delaware
