David Plotinsky, the former acting chief of the US Department of Justice’s (DOJ’s) Foreign Investment Review Section, represents clients such as venture capital, private equity, infrastructure, and technology firms on a range of national security and law enforcement matters. In particular, he steers clients through government national security review processes for foreign investment, including by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and Team Telecom. David also advises clients on other government-related matters including congressional investigations, outbound investment, export controls, sanctions, forced labor laws, telecommunications licensing, supply chain security, and artificial intelligence (AI) regulation. He maintains a security clearance and advises clients on their most sensitive matters.
