Partner Merryn Craske was quoted in a GlobalCapital article discussing potentially significant regulatory reforms for UK- and European-structured finance.
Merryn discussed clarifications to the UK Securitization Regulation. “Investor due diligence requirements are now de-linked from the Article 7 reporting requirements in the UK,” said Merryn. “Now there is a principles-based approach, and an investor has to get ‘sufficient information’ to enable it to understand the risks of what it is investing in. There is a list of information that needs to be obtained, but it is not as prescriptive.”
