Partners Maurice Hoo and Ning Zhang were quoted in a China Law & Practice article that discussed some of the options facing private equity investors who are trying to exit their investments.
“Sometimes investors or portfolio companies choose to do redemptions, also known as share buybacks, whereby the portfolio company buys back shares from existing shareholders,” said Maurice. “This may give an exit to some, but not all of the investors. A redemption may be a complete rather than partial exit for some of the investors.”
