The Department of Labor (DOL) issued on April 24, 2024 a highly anticipated final rule, which revised the salary levels applicable to the Fair Labor Standards Act’s (FLSA’s) white collar overtime exemptions. The update significantly increases the salary level needed to qualify as exempt under the FLSA’s white collar and highly compensated exemptions and calls for periodic increases to the required salary levels into the future. Employers must act quickly in response to the DOL’s final rule, as the first increase is scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2024.
Join us for a webinar covering the final rule, its impact on employers’ compensation policies and practices, as well as some best practices to consider for any reclassifications (or salary modifications) triggered by the final rule’s new salary levels.
