This discussion will center on the latest financial services regulatory expectations from the United States, Europe, and United Kingdom on the use of artificial intelligence (AI). This will include a focus on AI policies, procedures, third-party risk management, AI technology governance, and risk factor disclosures.
From a US perspective, we will consider Treasury and SEC-arising issues such as scrutiny of AI-related cyberthreats, “AI washing,” proposed rules on Predictive Data Analytics and cybersecurity, and SEC (along with NFA) exam sweeps of regulated entities. On the EU and UK front, we will look at the latest EBA/ESMA/EIOPA guidance, the impact of AI on the DORA regulations, and other key aspects of AI use.
