Michael F. Fleming focuses his practice on general employment counseling and litigation. Michael defends employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour violations in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies. He also works on litigation and counsels clients regarding compliance with Title II and Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and state accessibility laws.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Michael worked as an associate at a New York law firm, where he represented private employers in employment litigation matters brought in US state and federal courts, as well as before the New York State Human Rights Division, the New York City Commission on Human Rights, JAMS, and FINRA.
Upon graduation from Brooklyn Law School, Michael worked as an assistant corporation counsel and, later, senior counsel in the Labor and Employment Division of the New York City Law Department. At the Law Department, Michael represented the City of New York in a broad range of employment litigation matters, ranging from single plaintiff discrimination cases to complex federal class actions.
