Partners Josh Goodman and Minna Lo Naranjo, along with associate Phillip Wiese, co-authored an article for Corporate Compliance Insights on the rise of autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) agents and the questions this trend raises around privacy and antitrust laws.
The authors provide a background on AI agents, or “agentic AI,” and how the nascent technology is being used by companies. They then explore the potential antitrust concerns and data privacy and cybersecurity issues that could arise with the use of such programs. The article concludes with a review of the compliance considerations companies should keep in mind when considering making use of agentic AI.
