Partners Daniel Skees and Stephen Spina and associate Arjun Ramadevanahalli authored an article for Law360 about the recently passed Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. In what they call “a major step in a new direction,” the Act includes funding for electric transmission investments and new rules that could speed up the “often-winding road” to effective construction of major transmission projects. If successful, this new transmission investment should “strengthen the electric system against extreme weather, reduce the cost of delivered power, and increase the integration of emission-free resources into the US generation mix,” they write.
