Min Woo Park, Ph.D.

Since starting his legal career as a patent prosecutor in Japan, Min Woo Park has broadened his practice to many areas of patent law, including litigation, post-grant procedures, pre-suit due diligence, and licensing. Min’s particular experience includes prosecuting patents in life sciences and litigating Section 337 investigations before the US International Trade Commission (USITC). In addition to life sciences, Min also handles diverse subject matters and has prosecuted and litigated matters involving telecommunications, mobile devices, optical communications, chemicals, medical devices, mechanical devices, automotive technologies, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and image compression and streaming. Min is fluent in Korean and Japanese.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Min was a patent litigator at a large IP-focused firm and was involved in numerous section 337 investigations and district court cases.  Before attending law school in the United States, Min worked in a Tokyo-based law firm focusing on prosecuting patents before the Japanese Patent Office. His graduate work at the University of Tokyo included DNA and protein sequencing and editing, protein purification, enzyme assays, analysis of transgenic animals, and culturing mammalian and human cells.
