Lingzi Hu is part of a litigation team that represents clients in complex commercial disputes. As part of the firm's market-leading legacy liability practice, Lingzi focuses her practice on pursuing insurance recovery for corporate policyholders, including receiverships, that are defending legacy liabilities for toxic torts and environmental damage. Lingzi also represents policyholders in other complex insurance coverage disputes involving general liability, excess, umbrella, property, errors and omissions, directors and officers, fidelity, and business interruption policies.

During law school, Lingzi served as a notes and comments editor on the Houston Law Review and a judicial intern for Judge Gray H. Miller of the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Before attending law school, she helped energy companies obtain environmental permits as a regulatory specialist. She also conducted academic research in graduate school and published her work in the field of molecular microbiology. Lingzi is a native Mandarin speaker, and she is fluent in English.
