Morgan Lewis at Top of Summer Associate Rankings for Third Year

PHILADELPHIA, October 13, 2008: For the third year, Morgan Lewis is a top-ranked national firm in The American Lawyer’s Summer Associate Survey, as reported in the Fall 2008 issue of American Lawyer Student Edition. The firm ranked eighth out of 162 firms, and second among all national firms. Morgan Lewis was ranked in the top 10 in every city, with a number one ranking in Palo Alto.
“We were continually impressed by our 2008 summer associates, and are pleased to find that the feeling was mutual. To continue to find ourselves at the top of the summer associate survey for the third year in a row is a great accomplishment,” said Eric Kraeutler, Firmwide Hiring Partner.
This year’s accomplishment comes after the firm jumped from number 122 out of all firms in 2005 to number 7 in 2006. The survey findings across the country reflect the enthusiasm among summer associates in all Morgan Lewis offices, almost 93% of whom responded to The American Lawyer survey.

National/International Firms: 2nd out of 36 firms
Palo Alto: 1st out of 44 Bay Area firms
Philadelphia: 2nd out of 15 firms
Chicago: 3rd out of 29 firms
New York: 4th out of 83 firms
San Francisco: 4th out of 21 firms
Washington, D.C.: 6th out of 58 firms
