NEW YORK, July 17, 2008: Morgan Lewis has been ranked among the top mergers and acquisitions law firms for the first half of 2008. Some of the firm's accomplishments in the second quarter of 2008 include:
- Ranked fifth in Thomson Reuters' U.S. Target Completed Ranking (based on number of deals) with 49 deals
- Ranked ninth in Thomson Reuters' U.S. Public Company Involvement Completed with 34 deals and 18th in Worldwide Completed with 61 deals
- Ranked seventh in Mergermarket's "Table of Legal Advisors to U.S. (Mid Atlantic) M&A: Volume" with seven completed deals
- Ranked 13th and 14th respectively in Mergermarket's "League Table of Legal Advisors to U.S. Buyouts: Volume" and the "League Table of Legal Advisors to U.S. M&A: Volume"
In addition, the firm once again ranked within the top 10 on several of Buyout magazine's Legal League Tables. Morgan Lewis ranked in the top 10 in five categories: M&A deals based on value, number of transactions for deals with undisclosed values and disclosed values up to and including $100 million, number of transactions for deals with undisclosed and disclosed values up to and including $500 million, number of transactions for deals with an undisclosed and disclosed values up to and including $2 billion, and number of transactions for all deals with disclosed and undisclosed values.
