Alexandre Martin
Alexandre Martin primarily advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, energy clients, and international clients on a range of corporate transactions. He has experience in both domestic and cross-border transactions. In the private equity space, Alex represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in mergers and acquisitions, investments, divestitures, asset purchases, minority investments, joint ventures, and debt and equity financings, among other general corporate matters.
In the distributed generation space, Alex has recently represented the seller in the disposition of a 99 megawatt (MW) distributed solar portfolio; the seller in the disposition of a 44 MW distributed solar portfolio of commercial and industrial assets; and the buyer of renewable wind projects at the development stage.
- Represented Freeman Spogli & Co. and its portfolio company, Kamps Inc., in its acquisition of Buckeye Diamond Logistics Inc.
- Represented Freeman Spogli & Co. in its acquisition of Five Star Food Service
- Represented Freeman Spogli & Co. in the acquisition of US Med-Equip
- Represented Antares Pharma Inc. in its divestiture of OTREXUP® (methotrexate) injection for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis to a subsidiary of Assertio Holdings Inc.
- Represented a company in its sale of a portfolio of approximately 99 MW solar projects in the United States (including Puerto Rico)
- Represented Sandvik in the spinoff of its Sandvik Materials Technology business
- Represented ENMAX Corporation in its $1.3 billion acquisition of Emera Maine, a regulated transmission and distribution utility in Maine, from Emera Inc.
