CHICAGO, MAY 15, 2024: Morgan Lewis has been honored by the Merit School of Music during its Merit Gala fundraiser event with its Corporate Leadership Award. The award comes in recognition of the countless hours of pro bono consultations and dedicated years of service on Merit’s boards by the firm’s lawyers.
Morgan Lewis has been a longstanding supporter of Merit, guiding it through many milestones in its development, including helping to review and establish board bylaws and governing documents as well as recently assisting Merit in its expansion to a new site.
Merit’s student body—with many from low-income and underserved neighborhoods—reflects the socioeconomic and ethnic diversity of Chicago. Funds raised through the Merit Gala event support Merit’s free and financial aid–based programs.
Our firm’s support and experience has ensured that Merit continues to operate at the highest levels so that it may continue to provide excellent music education to Chicago youth.
This year’s Merit Gala was held on May 14 at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago.
