Andrew Devkar is the managing partner of the Century City office, a co-leader of the firm’s technology industry team, and one of the leaders of its Southern California intellectual property litigation practice. He has been repeatedly recognized as a Super Lawyer and Rising Star in intellectual property litigation. Andrew handles a broad range of intellectual property matters with an emphasis on patent litigation. He litigates complex patent infringement cases in US district courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and International Trade Commission.
Andrew represents clients in a wide range of industries, including software and internet technologies, clean energy technologies, wireless and networking technologies, smartphones, digital camera design and operation, semiconductors, printer technologies, image sensors, LEDs, and many other consumer electronics. Andrew’s experience also includes general intellectual property counseling and monetization, patent prosecution and licensing, and trade secret matters.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Andrew was a partner at another leading global firm. He also has experience counseling and working for startup companies, including on capitalization, intellectual property protection and enforcement, branding, and other business strategy.
Andrew has an active pro bono practice, including for the Alliance for Children’s Rights, where he has worked to protect the rights of impoverished and abused children.
